Bring some life into your home with a beautiful plant or two. Plants bring colour and life into your space while purifying the air so it's good to have at least one in your home, if not more. This Bamboo plant would also be beautiful in a garden as some nice greenery or screening to give you privacy. The botanical name of this plant is Bambusa tuldoides Ventricosa, and it's also known as Giant Buddha's Belly or Buddha Belly Bamboo. It can reach up to 8-15 feet tall when it's fully grown and will be only 2 1/4 inches wide on the bottom.
The minimum temperature the plant needs to grow healthy is 18F so if the temperature outside drops below that, make sure you bring it indoors. If it does get too cold, the plant could become damaged so make sure that it stays nice and warm and in full sun or partial shade. Watering this plant can be done weekly, but be sure to let it dry out before watering as you don't want the roots to rot. Within the first year of having the plant it could grow at least an inch and then up to 3 inches by the third year.
This is a strong and hardy bamboo that will grow pretty fast and is known to be a signature plant in most Asian gardens. You can also create bonsai versions of this plant as well.
